Here Comes The BS

Sayveon

Menace came through shortly after midnight. My dude was amped and ready to bust his banger.

“Cuz, I’m here. What’s the business?” he asked as he walked through the door of my crib. Even though he was here on that murder shit, as usual, he was styling and profiling. It was nothin’ for either one of us to spend a rack on high fashion labels that some mothafuckas couldn’t even pronounce. He rocked a oversized white Dizzy Gillespie t-shirt, dark blue Dolce&Gabbana jeans, snow white Adidas kicks, and a pair of jet-black Gucci shades. His bling game was bangin’ too with the iced out diamonds blinging er’where. Cuz most def was living the high life.

I laughed. “Nigga, you ‘pose to be comin’ over here to body some shit, and you steppin’ up in here like you headed to the BET Awards.”

He burst out laughing revealing his iced-out gold and diamond grill. “Don’t clown me, Cuzzo. You kno’ this is how I do it.”

“All that gold got you damn near lookin’ like Flava Flav,” I joked in Flava Flav’s voice imitating how the old school rapper says his name.

“I ain’t ugly like him, but I do stay iced out like a freezer.” Menace smiled.

“It’s all love.” I invited him to a seat in the living room area so we could chop it up.

“Bone and Viscious will be here in a minute.”

“Oh, fa real?”

“Yeah, Bone stopped to get some gas and said he’d be on. He’s using his GPS. Think he needed to get some cigarillos too.”

“Damn, why y’all didn’t ride together this time?”

“Bone’s tall ass says he wasn’t gon’ be cramped up, but I think he just wants to stunt in his new whip.” Menace shook his head and laughed quietly.

“Aight cool.”

Menace sat down and looked around. “You got this joint decked out. It’s lookin’ good, boi. I forgot to tell you that the last time I was over here for the wedding.”

“You know how I do,” I lightly boasted.

“Where’s Sparkle and your Li’l Mama, mane?” ‘Mane’ was a Memphis, Tennessee phrase used a lot which really meant man. He put his Memphis Grizzlies basketball cap on the sofa beside his leg. He believed in repping for ‘M-Town.’

“I sent both ‘em off ‘cause shit got too hot ‘round here.”

“Bruh, what’s happenin’? Fill me in ‘cause I’m lost, and I knew you weren’t gon’ say much over the phone.” He cocked his head to the side, interested in what I had to say.

Just as I was about to fill him in on everything, there was a knock at the door. “That’s probably Bone and Viscious. Let me let them in.” I rose from the Lay-Z-Boy chair and squinted through the peephole. A white chick that I’d never seen before stood there. I wasn’t takin’ anymore chances. I eased my nine milli from my waistline and gripped it in my hand.

“Who is it?”

“A white bitch that I’on kno’.”

I glanced around to look at Cuzzo and noticed that he had gotten up. He upped his steel and stood there waitin’ for some shit to go down.
